Remote Learning

If a student is unable to attend school for a few days then they should be using their knowledge organisers from their subjects to self-quiz, create flashcards and graphic organisers.

Support in how to self-quiz, how to make and use flashcards and how to create graphic organisers is found in the downloadable PowerPoints below.  Students in KS4 will be aware and have used these techniques in Prep lessons and KS3 students will be using them in Learning Effectively lessons.

If a student does not have a relevant knowledge organiser with them then they can be found on the student SharePoint or within the folders on this page.

Alongside this, students can be supplementing their understanding by using the following online tools:

  1. https://www.senecalearning.com
  2. https://www.bbc.com/education
  3. https://www.quizlet.com

It is the students’ responsibility to catch up on missed work by copying up missed notes.

For students absent longer than this, teachers will share further learning material that will have been covered in class.  This will be through https://www.satchelone.com/login (formerly show my homework) or through MS Teams.  Your class teacher will advise you where the materials can be found.
